The Allegany Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse (ACASA) recently celebrated the completion of its Capital Project and the expansion of its outpatient clinic with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by community leaders, staff, supporters, partners, and members of the community.
The completed project represents an important investment in the organization’s ability to provide accessible, comprehensive services to individuals and families affected by alcohol and substance use disorders. The expansion of the outpatient clinic provides additional space and enhanced facilities to support ACASA’s growing outpatient services and the needs of the communities it serves.
“Today is an exciting milestone for ACASA and for the individuals and families who rely on our services,” said Chad Sebastian, Executive Director. “This project allows us to strengthen our ability to provide quality care in a welcoming, accessible environment. We are grateful to everyone who helped make this vision a reality.”
The Capital Project was made possible through investment from the Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) and the support, collaboration of the Dormitory Authority of NY (DASNY), and Plan Architectural and Hamilton Stern Construction. Their contributions and partnership were instrumental in bringing the project to completion.
ACASA was very pleased to have Patricia Lincourt, OASAS Deputy Commissioner of Programs and Dr. April Aycock, OASAS Associate Commissioner for the Division of Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement at the ribbon cutting ceremony. Assemblymen Sempolinski, the ranking minority member on the Assembly Committee on Mental Health spoke at the ribbon cutting and presented ACASA the New York State Assembly Certificate of Merit in recognition of the achievement of celebrating the ribbon cutting for the expansion of the ACASA outpatient clinic.
The expanded outpatient clinic will help ACASA continue to provide essential services to the community, provide opportunities to accommodate programming, and enhance overall experience for individuals seeking support and services.
“Investing in treatment and recovery services is an investment in the health and well-being of our entire community,” said Chad Sebastian, Executive Director. “We are proud to mark the completion of this project and look forward to the difference this expanded facility will make for years to come.”
The ribbon-cutting ceremony served as an opportunity to recognize the many individuals and organizations whose efforts contributed to the project and to celebrate this new chapter for ACASA. Community partners and supporters were invited to tour the expanded facility and learn more about the services available to individuals and families.
ACASA remains committed to expanding access to prevention, treatment, recovery, and support services throughout the region. The completion of the Capital Project and outpatient clinic expansion reflect the ongoing commitment and provide ACASA with additional space to meet the evolving needs of the community.
